Portraying the Turkish immigrants in France the photo exhibition "Demir Atanlar" of Ahmet Sel can be viewed at the Institute Français d'Istanbul (French Cultural Institution in Istanbul) from February 15th to March 8th.

Biography:

Ahmet Sel, born in 1956, is a Turkish photo-reporter exploring the field of documentary photography.

The photographer has settled in France in 1982 and lived both in France and Russia. Working for Sipa Press Ahmet Sel has been promoted the chief Editor of the organization in Paris. His photographs are distributed by Sipa Press, Fedephoto and Opale, are published in major international newspapers and magazines. He won the "Fujifilm Press Photo Award France" in the portrait categor, in 2003, and the Gold Award of National Magazine Awards Foundation (Canada) in the "Words & Pictures" category in 2004.
