Theraphy
I’m a professional web developer and I work on distinct projects for a variety of customers. Basically, my work requires a lot of time and care. It’s not always possible for me to go out and take photos... The only thing that relaxes me...
In my line of work stress level is high and therefore stress management is very important. Only thing that saves the day is the ability to isolate oneself from the load of the day.
I need to work systematically; my time needs to be very well planned to create the free time Ineed for myself. Basically, it requires a lot of effort to isolate myself at the end of the day.
Said that, it’s not always possible to go out and take photos. Instead I have backup approach: I open my photo manager and crawl trough my photos – either personal or portfolio photos. Mostly I quickly scan my photos until I get to one that freezes the moment. I look at the frame and I daydream about the moment. The frame starts moving. It is the autumn in the field of wild grass. The colors are vivid, and the sound is real. The wind is blowing to my face but the sun still heats my skin. I jump into another dimension into a different reality.
It’s a therapy - to revive the past. Once the color fades and the sounds dissolves, I get back to reality all refreshed, all recharged. This is how I find the power to constantly fight time and stress; and it is highly recommended.
