Looking Through the Windshield
I bet you all have tried to set up the perfect light; I bet you all have tried to rule your models, you have told them what to do, where to stand, how to smile... The perfect frame... If you use photography for technical purpose you all have done right because you needed to get a sharp focus and a clear shot. If, however, you have another purpose then you hace commited a huge crime against photography...
You see; photography is a play. It is a stroy. It is a philosopy, an emotion. It is humanity; it is the life as we know it.. It has flaws; it must have because we have flaws and we are the once shooting. Digital age change perceptions but perceptions are not the reality. They only define the way, the angle we look at the reality.
No matter how automated things are, still, we are the ones who decide when and what to capture. If you think you need to have the perfect setting and the perfect lighting conditions then you are wrong. And the proof is the photos thaken through the windshields of cars and throught the windows of busses and trains.
Do not forget, we can never be perfect because in reality we don't know the exact definition of what perfect is and of what perfect really means. We can only seek for perfection; and that clearly means "trial & error". So, you should try. You should try to take a photo with a cracked lend, you should try to take a photo from within a moving car; you should try to set your camera's self timer and throw it away into sky..
Trying to create a perfect setting without knowing what perfect is, only limits the things, the emotions that you will exposed to. You don't have limits; why should your photography..?
